Ayora is famous for its fiestas which include
Second Monday of January celebrates “Santo angel” who freed the people from the plague in 1392.
“Dia de la cruz” on the 3rd of May,
Bull running through the streets from the 9th to the 16th of August,
30th of November “San Andres” is celebrated with bonfires in the streets.
“The fair of the honey” from the 8th to the 12th of October celebrates the abundance of delicious honey produced in the area.

Jalance is one of the villages in the stunning Valley of Ayora. The rivers Jucar and Cabriel flow through this fertile valley, with its typical Mediterranean vegetation of pine trees, rosemary, thyme, rock roses, broom and esparto. The crops are olives, almonds, peaches and grapes. On the pine covered mountains you can see wild boar, mountain goats, foxes, partridges and golden eagles.
Worth a visit are the ruined castle, the beautiful church and the Cave of Don Juan. There are many stunning drives and walks you may take through the countryside on the web of excellent caminos. Particularly worth seeing are the local Fiestas, San Blas Feb 4th and Virgen de la Asuncion 15th of August
